While there are many different theories on nutrition out there, it’s important to, at the bare minimum, avoid processed, sugary foods that don’t provide you with the right fuel.

Tip #3: Use Good Ergonomics

Ergonomics refers to how we move during various tasks throughout the day. For instance, there are ergonomics related to lifting, reaching, and even sitting. Using good ergonomics is often effective for reducing the severity of many types of low back pain and neck pain. 

Unfortunately, ergonomics for every activity you might encounter throughout your work day is far too complex a topic for this post. But suffice it to say that if you use proper ergonomics during your daily tasks, you’ll vastly improve your spinal health and decrease your chances of developing back pain. 

Tip #4: Perfect Your Posture

Keeping good posture is essential for spine health. Whether you’re sitting, standing, or lying down, posture is important.

While there are some small differences in postural recommendations based on individual body type and other factors, there are some consistencies in all postures. For instance, you should try to keep your spine relatively straight in most cases, especially when lifting objects. This will put less stress on your spine and will keep this structure healthy for many years to come.
